•Basic Science building (now Wittson Hall) looking north with 42nd Street along the right
•The Basic Science building was constructed east of University Hospital, Unit One, along 42nd Street.
•The Basic Science building was completed in 1969, as Part Two of three phase plan developed by College of Medicine Dean, Dr. Cecil Wittson to expand campus.
•The Basic Science building housed offices and laboratories for anatomy, microbiology, and pathology.
•The Basic Science building was renamed Wittson Hall in 1972, in honor of retiring UNMC Chancellor Cecil Wittson.
