These Vogue dolls were purchased by Clara Siemsen (1911-2000), a former U.S. Navy nurse, and long-time nurse at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Alumni from nursing schools across Nebraska, many of which are now defunct, made the uniform for the doll. The dolls wear student uniforms and the caps identify the school. When the project first began, it included only dolls from nursing schools located in Omaha. Later, dolls representing nursing schools from across Nebraska were added to the collection. They were on display for many years at the Methodist College School of Nursing in Omaha.
