Mr. Sher Jan Ahmadzai, Director of UNO Center for Afghanistan Studies, talks with the AAPI Student Association at UNMC about how the seizing of power by the Taliban in Afghanistan in August 2021 has affected Afghan Americans in the US, specifically Afghan refugees coming to America. Mr. Ahmadzai also discusses ways in which UNMC and Nebraskans generally can help with Afghan refugee resettlement and connect with Afghan Americans in Nebraska.
