Creative Work Essay
This is a combined intaglio and aquatint print that I made during my undergraduate studies. It is titled “Life’s Adventures” demonstrating life's unpredictable events when the whole world seems to shift, and a new normal is introduced. I believe most residents can identify with this piece, not only in their own hectic schedules and demanding training, but also in caring for patients. A new diagnosis or an unexpected change in clinical course can be life-altering for the patient and family. While it is an honor to help patients and families during these critical times, we must also remember to have patience with ourselves and to rely on our own personal support system as we navigate our own life adventures.
