An Interventional Cardiologist’s Playground

This acrylic-based canvas painting is an abstract depiction of the human coronary anatomy created originally from a picture of my very first coronary angiogram. This painting brings to attention the exquisite, disorganized beauty of coronary anatomy, and it also showcases the mysterious nature of an “interventional cardiologist’s playground” or the so-called coronary angiogram. In this playground, many lives have been saved. As a physician, this is my daily inspiration. I only hope this piece may stand as a reminder to all physicians that while our work maybe hard and tiring, it will always be worth it and remain beautiful.
